
Cardiology Laboratories at Einstein Heart Institute Dedicated to Morris N. Kotler, MD
Philadelphia, PA, January 3, 2003— At a recent ceremony, the Non-Invasive Cardiology Laboratories at Einstein Heart Institute were dedicated in honor of
Morris N. Kotler, MD, who retired as Chief, Division of Cardiovascular Diseases, Albert Einstein Medical Center. Dr. Kotler, who served as Chief
since 1984, is now Chairman Emeritus, Division of Cardiology. He will maintain an active cardiology practice at Einstein and
continue to treat patients.
The Non-Invasive Cardiology Laboratories at Einstein Heart Institute, now named the Morris N. Kotler, MD, Cardiology Laboratories,
offer a variety of diagnostic tests that enable cardiologists to see the heart in great detail and detect a wide range of
problems. The advanced technology includes echocardiography and stress echo testing, intravascular ultrasound and transesophageal
echocardiography.
Dr. Kotler, who serves as Professor of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College, is board-certified in internal medicine and
cardiovascular disease and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh. He has authored or co-authored over
275 articles and abstracts in peer review journals, authored more than 50 book chapters and published six cardiology textbooks.
Dr. Kotler’s research interests include echocardiography, clinical cardiology and disorders including hypertension, coronary
heart disease, congenital heart disorders and cholesterol disorders.
