Albert Einstein Medical Center Appoints David L. Schutzman, MD, as Chairman, Division of Neonatology

Philadelphia, PA, April 25, 2003—Albert Einstein Medical Center appointed David L. Schutzman, MD, as Chairman, Division of Neonatology. As a neonatologist, Dr. Schutzman is a pediatrician who has special training in newborn intensive care. Dr. Schutzman will oversee Albert Einstein Medical Center’s level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) which treats over 400 critically ill infants a year.

Dr. Schutzman comes to Albert Einstein Medical Center from Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, PA. He served as Director of Nurseries for 18 years and was also Acting Director of Pediatrics for the past four years. Prior to that, Dr. Schutzman was a staff neonatologist at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.

Dr. Schutzman received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his pediatrics residency and neonatology fellowship training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He is also board certified in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.

Dr. Schutzman is a member of the National Perinatal Association and American Academy of Pediatrics.
