
Broomall Resident Receives the Caron Foundation Unsung Hero Award
Philadelphia, PA, July 21, 2003—Broomall resident Daniel Massaro, MSW, recently received the Unsung Hero Award from the Caron Foundation, a long-standing
drug and alcohol treatment facility headquartered in Berks County. Massaro is an addictions counselor in the Outpatient Drug
and Alcohol Unit at Belmont Center for Comprehensive Treatment in Philadelphia. He was recognized by his peers for his dedication,
and for going above and beyond "the call of duty" to ensure a high quality of care for his patients.
Massaro has been on staff at Belmont for three years. Prior to becoming an addictions counselor in the Outpatient Drug and
Alcohol Unit, Massaro served as a case manager on Belmont’s Inpatient Drug and Alcohol Unit.
The Caron Foundation bestows the Unsung Hero Award to individuals who work at the grassroots level and fight the daily battles
on the front line in the war against drugs. Recipients receive the award for giving unselfishly of their time, energy and
talents.
Belmont Center for Comprehensive Treatment, part of the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network, is one of the largest, most comprehensive
