
Lower Makefield Resident Receives the Caron Foundation Medical Professional Award
Philadelphia, PA, July 21, 2003— Lower Makefield resident Thomas Brouette, MD, Chief of Addictive Services and the Co-Occurring Program at Belmont Center
for Comprehensive Treatment in Philadelphia, recently received the Caron Foundation Medical Professional Award for Physician.
The Caron Foundation is a long-standing drug and alcohol treatment facility headquartered in Berks County.
Dr. Brouette is a psychiatrist who has been on staff at Belmont for two years. He treats patients with a drug or alcohol problem,
who are also experiencing a psychiatric disturbance such as depression or anxiety. Dr. Brouette was recognized for his contributions
to the treatment and care of patients at Belmont, for his dedication to the field of addictions medicine, and for the positive
attitude he displays with staff, patients and families.
The Caron Community Service Awards program recognizes people in education, community-based organizations, legal/law enforcement,
business, and other areas, who have taken a leadership role to make their community a better place to live and work.
