
Highly Skilled Breast Surgeon Joins Albert Einstein Medical Center
Philadelphia, PA, September 30, 2003—One of the region’s leading breast surgeons, Lori Jardines, MD, has joined the surgical team of Robert Somers, MD, and Lisa
Jablon, MD, at Albert Einstein Medical Center. She will practice at the Marion-Louise Saltzman Women’s Center, 5501 Old York
Road, and at Einstein Center One, 9880 Bustleton Avenue.
Dr. Jardines—twice recognized as a “Top Doc” for breast cancer by Philadelphia Magazine—is a board-certified general surgeon
and is fellowship-trained in surgical oncology. She employs specialized surgical techniques to optimize results both medically
and cosmetically for her breast surgery patients.
A Philadelphia resident, Dr. Jardines has served as the director of the Breast Center of the Medical College of Pennsylvania
Hospital and Allegheny University Hospital-MCP Division. She most recently served as the director of breast surgery at Cooper
Hospital in New Jersey.
Dr. Jardines has written numerous publications for a number of medical journals and is co-author of the book, “
Breast Disease for Primary Care Physicians.”
She graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 1982. Following medical school, Dr. Jardines completed
both her internship and residency at the State University of New York at Brooklyn.
