
Linda J. Bogar, MD, Joins Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at
Albert Einstein Medical Center
Philadelphia, PA, December 23, 2004 - Linda J. Bogar, MD, has joined the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Albert Einstein Medical Center. Dr. Bogar also
performs cardiothoracic surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
Dr. Bogar received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in surgery at
Temple University Hospital and a fellowship in cardiothoracic transplantation from Temple University Hospital. In addition,
Dr. Bogar completed a residency in cardiothoracic surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She is board-certified
in general surgery and is also Gift of Life Certified for heart and lung organ procurement. She is Assistant Professor of
Surgery at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University.
Dr. Bogar is a member of several professional associations, including Society of Thoracic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons
and Association of Women Surgeons. She will perform cardiothoracic surgery at Albert Einstein Medical Center along with three
other surgeons who are also on staff at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. They include: James T.
Diehl, MD, Scott C. Silvestry, MD, and Daniel Marelli, MD.
