Charles Dunton, MD, Receives “Top Doc” Honors

Philadelphia, PA, June 1, 2004 – Charles Dunton, MD, Director, Division of Gynecologic Oncology, Albert Einstein Medical Center, has again been voted to Philadelphia Magazine’s “Top Doctors” list.

Nearly every year, Philadelphia Magazine surveys the region’s physicians to find those they consider to be the best in their fields. Not only does the list provide doctors with the recognition they deserve, it has become a useful tool for patients and healthcare providers to identify top physicians in dozens of specialties.

“I am happy to be included in Philadelphia Magazine’s “Top Doctors” list,” said Dr. Dunton. “It’s very nice to be recognized for patient care.”

Dr. Dunton specializes in cancers of the reproductive system, including ovarian, cervical, uterine and endometrial cancers. He has special expertise in using the latest diagnostic and therapeutic approaches including minimally invasive surgery and evaluation of abnormal Pap smears. As a champion of women’s health, Dr. Dunton was instrumental in creating Albert Einstein Medical Center’s new Women’s Care Pavilion, a 17-bed hospital unit dedicated to women with gynecological and breast cancer, pelvic problems and other women’s health issues.

Dr. Dunton last received “Top Doctor” honors in 2002. Philadelphia Magazine didn’t compile a “Top Doctors” list in 2003.
