Albert Einstein Healthcare Network Ranked One of the Top Integrated Healthcare Networks in the Country
Philadelphia, PA, March 18, 2004 – Albert Einstein Healthcare Network has been ranked one of the top 100 integrated healthcare networks (IHN) in the country
by Verispan, a national healthcare informatics company. More than 500 networks throughout the country were evaluated by Verispan
as part of its 2004 annual assessment.
“We’re pleased to have been recognized by Verispan for having met the critical success factors to be ranked one of the top
IHNs in the country,” says Barry Freedman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Albert Einstein Healthcare Network.
An IHN is a healthcare provider organization that through ownership or formal agreements aligns healthcare facilities, managed
by one governing board, with the shared mission of improving the quality of care and patient satisfaction. Factors evaluated
include: technology, financial stability, outpatient and hospital utilization, services, access and physicians. Each IHN receives
a numerical rating based on the assessment of their performance and degree of integration. The IHNs included in the top 100
ranking are considered to offer an outstanding continuum of care and a wider array of services to patients.
Albert Einstein Healthcare Network, a member of the Jefferson Health System, provides healthcare services through Albert Einstein
Medical Center, Germantown Community Health Services, Willow Terrace (a nursing home), MossRehab at Tabor Road, MossRehab
at Elkins Park, Willowcrest (a center for subacute care), Belmont Behavioral Health and a number of outpatient and satellite
locations. Einstein also operates a primary care network, Einstein Neighborhood Healthcare. For more information, visit www.einstein.edu
