
Albert Einstein Medical Center Hires Ob/Gyn to Serve Latina Population
Philadelphia, PA, January 24, 2005– Mabel Bonilla, MD, a bilingual obstetrician/gynecologist, has joined Albert Einstein Medical Center. Dr. Bonilla will provide
care to women of all ages in the diverse communities surrounding the hospital.
A native Spanish-speaker, Dr. Bonilla most recently worked for Parkview Ob/Gyn, a practice affiliated with the now defunct
Parkview Hospital in Philadelphia’s Juniata Park neighborhood. She maintains an office in that neighborhood at Parkview Plaza,
1331 East Wyoming Avenue, as well as at Einstein Plaza-Olney, 101 East Olney Avenue, and at 7201 Rising Sun Avenue. Each of
her offices has Spanish-speaking staff.
Dr. Bonilla has expertise in performing minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, managing normal as well as high-risk pregnancies
and treating pelvic pain.
Dr. Bonilla completed her residency at MCP/Hahnemann University Hospital. She earned her medical degree from Ponce Medical
School in Puerto Rico.
As a resident, Dr. Bonilla earned the Chief Resident Award and the Golden Stethoscope, an award for excellence in teaching
medical students. She also earned teaching and academic awards while in medical school and as an undergraduate at the University
of Rochester.
