
Brian K. Derrick Appointed Chief Financial Officer of Albert Einstein Healthcare Network
Philadelphia, PA, May 24, 2005– Brian K. Derrick has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network. Mr. Derrick
has served as Interim CFO for Einstein since October 2003. During that time, he played a key role in assisting with the network’s
financial turnaround and in developing a strategic plan and capital access strategy.
Prior to joining Einstein, Mr. Derrick served as Interim CFO for the Jefferson Health System. He has more than 20 years of
finance and healthcare management experience, including his role as partner with Tatum Partners, a national firm providing
permanent and interim CFO and CIO candidates. Before that, he served in various roles with the UPMC Health System, a major
healthcare system in Western Pennsylvania. He has held numerous senior financial leadership positions during his career in
both academic and community hospitals.
A certified public accountant, Mr. Derrick began his career with Price Waterhouse now Price WaterhouseCoopers after earning
his Bachelor of Arts in accounting at Thiel College.
Albert Einstein Healthcare Network, a member of the Jefferson Health System, provides healthcare services through Albert Einstein
