Steven Merahn, MD, Appointed Vice President, Marketing and Brand Management at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network
Philadelphia, PA, August 29, 2005– Steven Merahn, MD, has been appointed Vice President, Marketing and Brand Management at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network. Dr.
Merahn will be responsible for the network’s Corporate Marketing and Communications Department and will play an integral role
in implementing a new strategic plan, mission, vision and values throughout the Einstein network.
Dr. Merahn is a senior physician executive who joins Einstein from Clinical Decision Sciences, Inc., a Philadelphia-based
healthcare strategic services company, where he was President and Chief Strategy Officer responsible for management, strategy
and vision.
Prior to this, Dr. Merahn served as Vice President for General Medicine at Elsevier (Medical Sciences Division of Reed-Elsevier),
where he directed strategy and market development for Elsevier’s technology-based clinical information and professional services
products.
Dr. Merahn’s background also includes serving as Chief Executive Officer, North American Operations for a UK-based healthcare
information technology company, where he was responsible for marketing, business development and finance, and 10 years as
a senior executive for some of the world’s largest healthcare marketing communications agency networks.
Dr. Merahn received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY. He completed an internship and
residency in Pediatrics from Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY.
