
Albert Einstein Medical Center Holds Free Summer Career Program
Applications for Discover Healthcare Due May 1
Philadelphia, PA, April 3, 2006– Do you know a teen who has an interest in healthcare and is graduating from twelfth grade this spring or entering twelfth
grade in the fall? Encourage them to apply now for Einstein’s free, two-week-long Discover Healthcare summer program. The
program, funded by the Albert Einstein Society, is dedicated to inspiring young adults to choose healthcare careers. It will
run 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday July 10 through July 21 at Albert Einstein Medical Center, 5501 Old York Road,
Philadelphia. Applications are due to Einstein on or before Monday, May 1.
The 25 students selected to participate in the free program will:

Meet with and shadow a wide range of healthcare professionals from respiratory therapists to radiology technologists and physicians

Explore interests and talents as well as career requirements and educational programs

Develop a career plan, resume and interview skills

Be eligible to apply for a scholarship to pursue a career in healthcare
