Outpatient Psychiatry Center at Albert Einstein Medical Center
Moves to New Offices
Philadelphia, PA, July 11, 2006 The Outpatient Psychiatry Center at Albert Einstein Medical Center has relocated to new offices on the first floor of the
MossRehab Building at 1200 Tabor Road. Staffed with psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed social workers, child psychologists,
and an art therapist, the center provides outpatient therapy and counseling for a variety of problems including depression,
bi-polar disorder, anxiety disorders, marital and family issues and behavioral problems. Medication management is also offered.
Patients as young as five are treated, as well as adolescents, adults, and elderly.
There is a separate child therapy room where child psychologists and others conduct play therapy and help families with children
having difficulties at school with behavioral and learning issues. Group therapy is offered for people coping with a variety
of relationship problems. There are plans to expand the range of groups to include mood disorders such as depression, chronic
pain, and how to cope with chronic mental illness. “Our new center is beautiful and the environment itself is health-promoting,”
says Program Director William Shapiro, PsyD. “We also train psychiatric residents and psychology interns so this larger space
is really helpful,” Shapiro adds.
The hours of the new Outpatient Psychiatry Center are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Valet parking is available at
the door for $2.50. Most insurance plans are accepted. For information or to make an appointment, please call 215-456-9850.
The Outpatient Psychiatry Center at Albert Einstein Medical Center is part of Belmont Behavioral Health, one of the largest,
most comprehensive behavioral health systems in Philadelphia, and part of the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network.
