Albert Einstein Healthcare Network Announces 2006-2007 Board Appointments

Philadelphia, PA, August 4, 2006 -- Albert Einstein Healthcare Network, one of Philadelphia’s largest providers of healthcare services, has announced new board appointments for fiscal year 2007.

Richard J. Braemer, Esq., of Center City, Philadelphia was elected to his second term as Chairman, Albert Einstein Healthcare Network Board of Trustees, the governing body of the organization, and the Board of Overseers, which serves in an advisory and fundraising capacity. Mr. Braemer is an attorney and partner with Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll.

Richard C. Sheerr of Bryn Mawr, PA, was elected to his second term as Chairman, Albert Einstein Healthcare Services Board of Trustees. In addition, Robert P. Krauss, of Lafayette Hill, PA, was also elected to his second term as Chairman, Albert Einstein Physician Services Board of Trustees.

Thirteen new members were elected to Albert Einstein Healthcare Network’s Board of Overseers: Richard L. Allman, MD; Carole Sue Ben-Maimon, MD; Andrew B. Cantor, Esq.; Daniel A. Erlbaum; Albert Esquenazi, MD; Irv E. Geffen; Steven M. Katz; Jay B. Minkoff; Patricia L. Poteat, PhD; Steven Pressman; H. Hank Simms, MD; Lois B. Victor and Jeffrey C. Warden.

Richard L. Allman, MD, of Villanova, PA, is the new President of the Medical Staff of Albert Einstein Medical Center and a rheumatologist and internist in the Department of Medicine. Dr. Allman will serve as an Ex-Officio member of Einstein’s Board of Overseers and Board of Trustees and the Albert Einstein Healthcare Services Board of Trustees. Carole Sue Ben-Maimon, MD, of Merion, PA, a physician and pharmaceutical executive with Barr Pharmaceuticals, was elected to Einstein’s Board of Overseers and Albert Einstein Healthcare Services Board of Trustees. Andrew B. Cantor, Esq., of Blue Bell, PA, a partner with Wisler, Pearlstine, Talone, Craig, Garrity & Potash, LLP, was elected to the Board of Overseers and the Board of Trustees. Daniel A. Erlbaum of Merion, PA, President of Kanter International, a consulting/marketing firm, was elected to the Board of Overseers. Albert Esquenazi, MD, of Philadelphia, PA, is Chairman, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Albert Einstein Medical Center and Chief Medical Officer of MossRehab. Dr. Esquenazi will serve as an Ex-Officio member of the Board of Overseers and the Albert Einstein Healthcare Services Board of Trustees. Irv E. Geffen of Cherry Hill, NJ, Vice President at Bernstein Global Wealth Management, was elected to the Board of Overseers and to Albert Einstein Physician Services Board of Trustees. Steven M. Katz of Haverford, PA, an advisor and investor in several businesses, was elected to the Board of Overseers. Jay B. Minkoff of Wynnewood, PA, President and Chief Executive Officer of First Flavor, Inc., was elected to the Board of Overseers and Albert Einstein Physician Services Board of Trustees. Patricia L. Poteat, PhD, of New Hope, PA, an independent consultant for higher education and international education, was elected to the Board of Overseers. Steven Pressman of Churchville, PA, a CPA and managing partner with Pressman Ciocca Smith., LLP, was elected to the Board of Overseers and to Albert Einstein Physician Services Board of Trustees. H. Hank Simms, MD, of Villanova, PA, Chairman, Department of Surgery at Albert Einstein Medical Center, was elected to the Board of Overseers and Board of Trustees.

Lois B. Victor of Delray Beach, FL, has been actively involved with the Victor Center for Jewish Genetic Diseases at Albert Einstein Medical Center, and was elected to the Board of Overseers. Jeffrey C. Warden of Edgemont, PA, Vice President of Business Development for Superior Tube Company, was elected to the Board of Overseers and Board of Trustees.
