
Stephan H. Whitenack, MD, PhD, Joins Albert Einstein Healthcare Network and Relocates to Wyndmoor, PA
Philadelphia, PA, October 10, 2006 – Stephan H. Whitenack, MD, FACS, PhD, has joined Albert Einstein Healthcare Network in the Department of Surgery, and relocated
his medical practice from Chestnut Hill to Wyndmoor, PA. Dr. Whitenack has expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range
of vascular problems such as carotid stenosis, abdominal aortic aneurysms and leg blockages. He also performs a full array
of non-open heart chest surgical procedures. Dr. Whitenack is a fellow of the American College of Surgery
He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and completed his internship, surgical residency and residency
in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. As a junior in medical school, Dr. Whitenack
was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the honor society. He has lectured widely on Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and has published
numerous articles in professional publications as well as textbook chapters on related topics.
Dr. Whitenack is a member of various professional organizations including the Eastern Vascular Society; the Society of Thoracic
Surgeons; and the Delaware Valley Vascular Society.
