Rev. Sung-Won Paek Appointed Cultural Outreach Coordinator for Albert Einstein Healthcare Network

Philadelphia, PA, January 4, 2007 –Rev. Sung-Won Paek has been appointed Cultural Outreach Coordinator for Albert Einstein Healthcare Network where he will serve as liaison between staff and patients and family members of Korean descent. Rev. Paek will maintain ongoing contact with Korean churches and other organizations to assess the healthcare needs of the Korean community and develop plans to meet those needs. He also will coordinate Einstein-sponsored health education programs and screenings and act as an interpreter for Korean patients who require such assistance.

“Having Rev. Paek on staff is a wonderful opportunity for our network to forge stronger and closer ties with the Korean community, and we’re thrilled to have him on board,” says Ruth Lefton, Chief Operating Officer, MossRehab and Einstein at Elkins Park.

Prior to joining Einstein, Rev. Paek was the founder and president of the Institute for Korean American Educational Development. He also served as a researcher for the Swedenborg Library of Bryn Athyn College of the New Church in Bryn Athyn, PA. Rev. Paek’s background also includes serving as chaplain for Abington Memorial Hospital and as pastor/president of the New Church Learning Center in Jenkintown, PA.

Rev. Paek earned his Master of Divinity degree from the Academy of the New Church Theological School in Bryn Athyn, PA.
