
Jamison S. Jaffe, DO, Joins Division of Urology at Albert Einstein Medical Center
Philadelphia, PA, February 26, 2007 – Jamison S. Jaffe, DO, has joined the Division of Urology at Albert Einstein Medical Center. He has extensive experience in
the latest urologic surgical techniques and has special interest in minimally invasive treatments for prostate and kidney
cancers.
Some of the procedures Dr. Jaffe is trained in include: cryosurgery to freeze and destroy cancerous cells in the kidneys and
prostate; radical laparoscopic prostatectomy (removal of the prostate using a laparoscope); laparoscopic partial and radical
nephrectomy for kidney disease (removal of part or all of a kidney using a laparoscope), and laparoscopic cystectomy for bladder
cancer (removal of the bladder using a laparoscope).
Dr. Jaffe received his doctor of osteopathy degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his general
surgery residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center and his urologic surgery residency at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic
Medicine. Dr. Jaffe continued his education and received fellowship training in minimally invasive urologic surgery from the
L’Institut Mutualiste Montsouris in Paris, France.
The urology team at Albert Einstein Medical Center has tremendous experience diagnosing and treating urinary tract disorders
in men and women, including urinary incontinence, kidney stones, interstitial cystitis, prostate disease, and prostate, kidney
and bladder cancer.
