Play The Online Transplant Game: Save Simon!
Einstein Supports Organ Donation Month with Facts and Fun
Philadelphia, PA, April 3, 2008 ─ Albert Einstein Healthcare Network offers the public a chance to become “virtual transplant surgeons” with its online game
“Save Simon” – and to become real-life heroes by registering as organ and tissue donors.
Visit www.einstein.edu/donatelife, and click on the “Save Simon” box to play the game. Simon’s ready to receive his new organs, but he needs “surgeons” to
put them in the right place. Answer the questions, beat the clock and save his life! Test your knowledge of eye, heart, lung,
kidney, liver and pancreas organ transplants.
After playing the game, Einstein provides a link to the Gift of Life Donor Program’s registry at www.donors1.org so you can pass the miracle of life on to others.
Right now, almost 100,000 men, women and children are waiting for a life-saving transplant. Every day donors save almost
80 lives, but 18 lives are lost because there aren’t enough of them. For minorities – especially African Americans – the shortage
is even worse. This critical shortage will only stop one donor at a time. For fifty or more grateful recipients, it can stop
with you. You will never know who receives your gift of life, but it is a gift that can help your family, friends, neighbors
and co-workers.
