Einstein at Elkins Park Offers Free Flu Shots
Partners with Cheltenham School District to Aid Teachers, Staff
Philadelphia, PA, October 8, 2008 ─Einstein at Elkins Park is teaming with the Cheltenham PA School District to provide free adult flu shots to the district’s
700 teachers, administrators and other staff.
Einstein nurses will administer the shots at two locations - Cheltenham High School, 500 Rices Mill Road, and Elkins Park
School, 8149 New Second St. from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday October 15, 2008. The date coincides with a district-wide in-service day, in which students are dismissed early which will allow district employees
time to get to the two locations. Over 100 employees are expected to participate, officials said.

advantage of the free flu shots. The initiative was sponsored by Einstein At Elkins Park and the Cheltenham School District
and took place at Cheltenham High School and Elkins Park School. |
Elnstein’s Jean Marie Albany, RN, says, “Vaccination is the primary means of preventing influenza; studies show that the flu vaccine will prevent the flu
70 to 90 percent of the time. I commend the district for once again giving their staff the opportunity to protect themselves
and their students against the flu.”
Last year, more than 50 employees rolled up their sleeves and put on their bravest smiles as they received their flu vaccine
shots administered by Einstein nurses. “I have received a number of messages of thanks for last year’s initiative,” said Ann
Spector, the district’s director of development and communications.
