The Auxiliary of Albert Einstein Medical Center
President, Jacquelyn Rosenberg

Members of our family of giving — The Auxiliary of Albert Einstein Healthcare Network is a group of dedicated volunteers that
gather together for community service projects, advocate for women’s health issues and raise funds for differing needs at
Einstein.
The Annual Harvest Ball crowns a year’s worth of fundraising projects the Auxilians perform; funds raised go to clinical programs
and equipment, facilities improvements and other projects that support Einsteins’ efforts to improve healthcare and expand
access through the community.
In 2007, the Auxiliary of AEHN championed the need of expansion in the New Term Nursery. Exceeding everyone’s goals, the
Auxiliary raised over $1 Million for this important project. With the closing of many Maternity Department in the city of
Philadelphia, Einstein has become one of the few hospitals in the community to offer these services.
A project originally created with funds raised at the Harvest Ball, Hospitality House is an invaluable resource for families
who travel long distances to support their loved ones undergoing treatment at Einstein. A multi-bedroom house with full kitchen,
living room, laundry facilities and charm, accommodations are offered at a minimal rate of $30 a night, and in the event that
this may cause a financial hardship, the fee is waived.
A subsidiary of the Auxiliary, the Breast Cancer Action Group (BCAG) works to empower women to protect their health through
educational programs, advocacy events and community outreach. Each year, the BCAG holds an educational symposium in the spring
with both a keynote speaker (usually a physician or prominent social figure) as well as survivors who share their stories.
The BCAG was quite pleased to welcome Philadelphia CBS Anchor, Pat Ciarrocchi as the keynote speaker. In mid summer, the
group also holds an informal breakfast at Curds ‘n Whey in Jenkintown, PA.
