Good for us. Good for you.
Einstein's breast cancer team includes over a dozen physicians and staff members who have been recognized for outstanding work by the nation's leading breast health organizations.
We pair dedication with advanced technology to provide expert care.
Einstein is one of only 15 approved Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT) testing centers in the U.S., Canada and Europe. This new breast imaging technique makes it easier to find cancer in dense breast tissue and the screening is much more comfortable than a mammogram.
We believe early detection and treatment make a huge difference in your fight against breast cancer. Count on Einstein for advanced techniques to make an early and accurate diagnosis. We offer:
- Magnetic resonance imaging (breast MRI)
- Full-field digital mammography
- High-definition ultrasound including SonoCiné
- Oncotype DX® breast cancer test
- Minimally invasive surgical procedures such as sentinel node and stereotactic breast biopsies
Advanced options for treatment
Cancer is a complex disease that often requires multiple types of treatment. Your care plan at Einstein may include:
Radiation therapy
Chemotherapy and hormonal therapy (also known as medical oncology)
- Chemotherapy, which uses powerful drugs to attack cancer cells, is available at Einstein on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.
- Hormone therapy uses medicines to prevent cancer cells from multiplying.
Surgery
- An operation to remove all or part of a tumor to diagnose or treat your cancer.
- We use the latest technology to identify the full extent of your cancer and offer both traditional and minimally invasive surgical techniques, such as
- State-of-the-art tumor staging via sentinel node biopsy
- Breast conservation therapy (lumpectomy with radiation)
- Reconstructive surgery (oncoplasty)
- Skin-sparing mastectomy
