    Who benefits from cardiac rehabilitation?

    Studies show that patients recovering from cardiac surgery who attend cardiac rehabilitation can reduce their chance of a future cardiac event by 25 percent. In fact, patients who complete a cardiac rehab program and follow medications carefully, including exercise and smoking cessation, can reduce chances of a major cardiac event by 50 percent or more.
