
Allan M. Arbeter, MD has been Chairman of the Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia
since 1991. Dr. Arbeter is subspecialty board certified in Pediatric Infectious Diseases. His research background includes
the use of antibiotics for children, vaccine development and clinical trials, as well as research regarding vaccine access
for inner city children. Dr. Arbeter was the principal investigator for CDC-supported research that ultimately contributed
in formulating national policy and standards for childhood immunizations.
Since 1997, Dr. Arbeter has supervised a sequence of clinical and physician education projects, one supported by the Partnership
in Quality Education (RWJ Foundation), regarding the comprehensive care of children with asthma. Since 2002, Dr. Arbeter has
returned to an active role in providing adolescent healthcare.
