The Division of Cardiac Electrophysiology uses cutting-edge innovative techniques to treat abnormal heart rhythm problems known as arrhythmias. We are one of the busiest centers of electrophysiology in the Philadelphia region and offer a full-range of diagnostic and treatment options targeting all types of arrhythmias.
Einstein has a very busy radiofrequency ablation program treating previously untreatable, serious, and often life-threatening conditions such as supraventricular tachycardia, atrial flutter, atrial fibrillation, and ventricular tachycardia. In addition, the division has a very active cardiac device program implanting pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) and biventricular-defibrillators for the treatment of severe heart failure.
Einstein’s Cardiac Electrophysiology division also maintains a active research program and participates in a number of large, international clinical trials offering patients access to therapies not otherwise available to them.
