The Division of Gastroenterology at Einstein is a leading team of physicians specializing in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and research of digestive diseases. Einstein’s board-certified physicians, including Dr. Philip Katz, named one of the best gastroenterologists in the region by Philadelphia magazine’s Top Docs, specialize in esophageal disease, gastrointestinal endoscopy, gastrointestinal motility, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), inflammatory bowel disease and celiac disease.
The division also features an Esophageal Laboratory, providing convenient and comfortable in-house treatment. Conditions treated at the laboratory include disorders such as achalasia, Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Treatment services include screening examinations such as endoscopy and minimally-invasive laparoscopic surgery, as well as traditional surgeries.
We are engaged in ongoing research and clinical trials to help develop and identify new therapies, medications and treatment.
