Infectious Disease

  • The Department of Infectious Disease is a group of specialized physicians highly experienced in diagnosing and treating complicated infectious diseases, including the unique health needs of patients with HIV, transplant patients and travelers.

We are actively engaged in the teaching and training of medical students, residents and fellows. Department members serve as faculty in the Infectious Disease Fellowship Training program, are responsible for the oversight of Hospital Infection Prevention and Control and supervise of many aspects of employee health. We provide clinical care and consultative services to other physicians, the hospital and the community. Services are available in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The department also manages the Travel Health Service, a great resource for people planning to travel outside the country. Travel Health answers questions and concerns about travel abroad and provides immunization information and services.
