James S. Raphael, MD, is Associate Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Director of the Hand Surgery Program at Einstein Medical Center.
Dr. Raphael specializes in the treatment of chronic and traumatic conditions of the hand, wrist and elbow. He is regionally recognized for his proficiency in today’s most advanced orthopedic surgery procedures, including arthroscopy, microsurgery, replantation, free-tissue transfer, nervesurgery and reconstruction.
Dr. Raphael co-chairs the Research Program in the Department of Orthopedics at Einstein Healthcare Network and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed medical journals. He has been recognized as a "Top Doc" by Philadelphia magazine by Castle Connolly, a national peer-survey organization.
