Vincent M Figueredo, MD
Vincent M. Figueredo, MD, FACC, FAHA, FASE, FACP is Director of the Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship Programs and Associate Chair of Cardiology at Einstein Medical Center, and Professor of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College, in Philadelphia.
Dr. Figueredo has held various leadership and teaching positions, including Chair of Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery at Lovelace Health Systems in New Mexico, Clinical Associate Professor at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Figueredo completed his internal medicine residency training at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and cardiology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Figueredo is active in scholarly activity with over 80 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. In addition, he serves as the coordinating editor for Practical Reviews in Cardiology. Dr. Figueredo is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the National Board of Echocardiography and the American Society of Hypertension.
Dr. Figueredo’s clinical and research interest include preventive cardiology, hypertension, cardiac preconditioning and the effects of toxins, such as alcohol, on the heart.
