Einstein Resident Notes

(April, 2007) Gathered together are members of the Obstetrical Society of Philadelphia at "Einstein Night". The Obstetrical Society allows physicians from many institutions to come together and share ideas; brings residents together for programs designed to meet their needs and recognizes success and excellence (Resident Bowl and S. Leon Israel Award). Einstein's Chairman of the Department of OB/GYN at Einstein is President Elect of the Obstetrical Society of Philadelphia.

Bruce K. Leinweber, DDS, MD, FACOG
Obstetrics/Gynecology Residency Program
1964-1967 (Resident)

Dr. Leinweber completed his OB/GYN internship from 1963 to 1964 after which he attended Einstein’s OB/GYN Residency Program from 1964 to 1967. He was a member of the Einstein teaching staff from 1967 through 2003 at which time he retired. He was married in 1960 and widowed in 1971 with two children. He remarried in 1976 and shares one child, three stepchildren and seven grandchildren.

Eugene Shuster, MD
Obstetrics/Gynecology Residency Program
1961-1965

Dr. Shuster attended Einstein’s OB/GYN Residency Program from 1961 to 1965. He is enjoying retirement at his Elkins Park home.

Whan S. Chung, MD
Obstetrics/Gynecology Residency Program
1970

Dr. Chung attended Einstein’s OB/GYN Residency Program in 1970. He is currently enjoying his retirement at his Penn Valley home.

Herbert J. Somers, MD
Obstetrics/Gynecology Residency Program
1959-1963

Dr. Somers attended Einstein’s OB/GYN Residency Program from 1959 to 1963. He is currently maintaining a TPI private practice in Elkins Park.

Gerald F. Clair, MD
Obstetrics/Gynecology Residency Program
1956-1960

Gerald attended Einstein’s OB/GYN Residency Program from 1956 to 1960. He currently maintains a private practice in State College, Pennsylvania. He and his wife share three children and five grandchildren and another one due in August.

Wendy L. Kinzler, MD
Obstetrics/Gynecology Residency Program
1994-1998

Wendy attended Einstein’s OB/GYN Residency Program from 1994 to 1998 and completed a fellowship in maternal fetal medicine. She shares two children, Renee and Darren with her husband, Fred who live in Hillsborough, New Jersey. She currently works in a large academic Maternal Fetal Medicine practice at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Edward U. Choi, MD

Completed his Residency in OB/GYN in Providence, Rhode Island, followed by a Fellowship. He now maintains a private practice in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Edward and his wife share two sons.

Albert K. Mall, MD, FACOG, FABOG
Obstetrics/Gynecology Residency Program
1979-1982

Dr. Mall attended Einstein’s OB/GYN Residency Program from 1979 to 1982. He currently maintains a private practice in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, where he lives. He and his wife share three children.
