Richard S. Monheit, MD
Cardiology Residency Program
1944, 1946-1948

Dr. Monheit attended Einstein’s Cardiology Residency Program in 1944, and 1946 to 1948. He maintained a private practice from 1951-1960 and worked part-time at AEMC in 1960. Since 1964 he has been a staff member of AEMC’s Department of Cardiology. He and his late-wife, Jane Goodman Monheit, shared three children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Leonard Fred Greenberg, MD
Internal Medicine Residency Program 1959-1961
Cardiology Residency Program 1961-1963

Leonard attended Einstein’s Internal Medicine Residency Program from 1959 to 1961 and Cardiology Fellowship Program from 1961 to 1963. From 1965-1994 Leonard worked in a very active Internal Medicine private practice. In 1994 he joined full-time faculty at AEMC and was President of Medical Staff 1995-1998. He retired in 2003 but continues to teach on a voluntary basis at Einstein and Jefferson.

He and his wife Grace have been married since 1962, and share two children. Their daughter Caroline did her Radiology Residency at Einstein from 1991 to 1995.

Steve Jy Jhun, MD
Cardiovascular Fellowship Program

Dr. Jhun attended Einstein’s Cardiovascular Fellowship Program. He currently maintains a private practice is in Palisades Park, New Jersey. He has had the good fortune of having published two books and medical column. He is currently a faculty member at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Jamie Dimitria Paranices, MD
Cardiology Fellowship Program
1987-1990

Dr. Paranices attended Einstein’s Cardiology Fellowship Program from 1987 to 1990. She is currently working with the Heart Care Group located in Allentown, Pennsylvania and with Lehigh Valley Hospital. Jamie and husband Jacob Pickle IV share one son, thirteen-year old Jacob Pickle V. She still keeps in contact with Gary Costacorta, MD, who attended the same year Fellowship in Cardiology as she.

Gary H. Kelman, MD
Cardiology Residency Program
1960-1961,1965

Dr. Kelman attended Einstein’s Cardiology Residency Program from 1960 to 1961 and interned at Einstein in 1965. Now retired living in Margate, New Jersey, he and his wife Ruth (Goldmann) Kelman are enjoying their three daughters and three grandsons.

John Louis Serrian Jr., MD
Cardiology Fellowship Program
1993 to 1996

John attended Einstein’s Cardiology Fellowship Program from 1993 to 1996. Currently he resides in Reading, Pennsylvania. Since September of 2002, he has been a partner in Cardiology Associates of West Reading, a private practice specialty group of eighteen cardiologists. He and his wife Jeane share one daughter, Emma who was born on October 28, 2003.

Craig Lieserman, MD
Internal Medicine and Cardiology Residency Program
1988-1994

Craig attended Einstein’s Internal Medicine and Cardiology Residency Programs between the years of 1988 to 1994. Craig’s Junior Fellow became his wife of eleven years and together they share a son, Mace Adam Lieserman. Says Craig, “I have great appreciation for both the personal and professional gifts Einstein has given me and my wife, Ariare Lieserman, MD.
