Education Mission Statement
The Albert Einstein Healthcare Network is proudly committed to its mission as a premiere independent academic medical center
in the Greater Philadelphia area. Our goal is to deliver excellent patient care strongly supported and augmented by multidimensional
teaching and research programs. We pledge to maintain these programs in support of our evolving clinical objectives.
In particular, we renew our commitment to:
- · Sponsor medical, dental, podiatric and allied health education programs compatible with our traditional and evolving strengths;
- · Provide administrative, staff support and financial resources essential to insuring full accreditation of these programs;
- · Recruit to these programs faculty recognized for clinical, teaching and research expertise, and trainees demonstrating strong
potential for success in their chosen profession;
- · Provide the effective academic mix of didactic, research, and clinical experience appropriate to faculty and student professional
objectives;
- · Support faculty and staff in maintaining their academic and clinical strengths by providing requisite continuing education
opportunities;
- · Provide a sound academic and clinical education that is carefully balanced with concerns for patient safety and resident
well-being. Didactic and clinical education will have priority in the allotment of residents’ time and energies
- · Ensure that the learning objectives of all residency programs are met with particular emphasis on six general competencies:
patient care, medical knowledge, professionalism, systems based practice, practice-based learning and improvement and interpersonal
and communication skills.
