Elective Rotation Application Process and Requirements
Students must be enrolled in a LCME, COCA, ADA, CPME, or ARC-PA accredited school in good academic standing.
Requests
Students must apply for fourth year electives for the 2013-2014 academic year using Visiting Student Application Service (VSAS). All approvals and scheduling will be entered in the VSAS website. Einstein will be accepting applications beginning March 4, 2013. Please submit your elective request as early as possible but at least 30 days prior to your desired start date. There is no guarantee of placement at anytime.
Registration
Once accepted for a rotation, additional registration forms will be required for review and submission. These will include but are not limited to:
- Completed Clerkship Request Application (non-affiliates)
- Confirmation receipt of Novell login and clerkship start/end dates
- Completion of AECIS training module (& other training required by clerkship)
Institutional Orientation
Orientation will take place in the Levy 8 Conference Room (Room #8244), located on the 8th floor of the Levy Building. Orientation will last approximately 45 min to 1 hour. Please sign up by emailing Tahirah Harrigan at StudentLearner@einstein.edu or calling at 215-456-3221. Consideration and alternate accommodations will be given to students from non-local institutions.
