Clinical Pastoral Education - Curriculum
Programs and Dates
Level I Part-time Extended Unit
Our Intern Program, part-time during the academic year, enables clergy, seminarians, or qualified lay persons to engage in spiritual care education while maintaining a limited schedule of school or work. Class time is four to five hours per week, with eight hours of clinical work per week, and two overnight on-call shifts per month.
Level II Full-time Residency
Our year-long Residency Program enables CPE students to earn three units of CPE at a manageable pace, while receiving a stipend and employee benefits. The program allows students to prepare for professional chaplaincy certification and/or chaplaincy positions, while working full-time (with overnight and weekend on-call shifts) as a CPE student/ resident chaplain.
Supervisory Education
Our SIT Program works in conjunction with the Eastern Pennsylvania Institute for Pastoral Supervision, to prepare a student to become a CPE Supervisor. No positions are available at this time.
