As such, Einstein is committed to the education and training of physicians through its residency programs and to the recruitment of well-qualified applicants.
In order to be eligible for appointment to an ACGME and/or AOA accredited Einstein residency training program, an applicant must possess one of the following qualifications:
In addition, applicants must meet all Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine training licensure requirements for entrance into an Einstein residency program. Applicants that do not possess one of the above stated qualifications will be considered non-eligible for enrollment in an Einstein sponsored residency program.
Each program director shall have a graduate medical advisory committee for the ranking and selection of applicants to its graduate medical education program. This committee will oversee the review of applications, the interview process and Match rank order lists.Each residency program will maintain a written statement on resident selection including the application process (documents required), interview criteria and interview process. Specific criteria related to the level of academic preparedness and clinical skills appropriate to each discipline will be left to the judgment and discretion of the respective Program Director and/or advisory committee. Criteria may include but is not limited to ability, aptitude, academic credentials, communications skills, and personal qualities such as motivation and integrity.
Einstein Medial Center strongly encourages each of its sponsored programs to participate in all applicable national matching programs including the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), the AOA Intern Registration Program (IRP) and the Post-Doctoral Dental Matching Program. The Office of Academic and Alumni Affairs is responsible for ensuring that programs enroll and participate as expected.
