The curriculum content will include all areas of endocrinology, metabolism, and diabetes.
Each fellow will have one half day of continuity clinic for both years.
First year fellows spend 3 months on an outpatient/elective rotation with six half-day clinics per week and no hospital responsibility. They also rotate on the inpatient service at Einstein Medical Center (AEMC)/Willowcrest Skilled Nursing Facility for 5 months and on the inpatient service at Elkins Park/Moss Rehab Hospital for 3 months. One month is reserved for research.
Second year fellows have more flexibility and opportunity for electives and research. Since endocrine electives tend to be outside weekly clinics, electives can be done in parallel with other responsibilities. Second year fellows spend 3 months on outpatient/elective rotation, which includes rotations in the required electives of pediatric and reproductive endocrinology. They also rotate for a total of 6 months on inpatient service, and 3 months of research.
