  • Dr. Chernoff is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and completed an internship at Pennsylvania Hospital, Residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in NY. Dr. Chernoff was a Clinical Associate at the National Institutes of Health and a Fellowship in Endocrinology & Metabolism at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in NY. He returned to Philadelphia where he established a clinical practice in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. He has been cited nationally as a "Top Doc" as both an Internist and Endocrinologist. Dr. Chernoff’s clinical practice focuses on consultative endocrinology and the primary care of the endocrine patient. He is a fellow of the American College of Endocrinology and has been involved in both basic and clinical research. Dr. Chernoff’s areas of special interest are Arteriosclerosis, Diabetes, and Thyroid disease.

  • Catherine Anastasopoulou, MD, PhD, FACE

  • Dr. Anastasopoulou is a graduate of the Medical School of Athens. She completed medical training in Greece before coming to the US. Dr. Anastasopoulou trained in Internal Medicine at the Einstein Medical Center and completed her Fellowship in Endocrinology at the LAC/USC Medical Center in Los Angeles. Her clinical practice focuses on consultative endocrinology. Dr. Anastasopoulou was a clinical research collaborator for the Diabetes Prevention Trial-1 Study Group. She has translated several medical texts from English into Greek and has published in the areas of Diabetes and Bone & Mineral Metabolism. Dr. Anastasopoulou is a member of American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, American Diabetes Association and The Endocrine Society, and is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology. Her area of special interest is Osteoporosis (Male and Female) and calcium disorders. She is an Assistant Professor of Medicine, Jefferson Medical College.

  • Nissa Blocher, MD

  • Dr. Blocher is a graduate of the University of Arizona College of Medicine.  She completed her internal medicine residency training and a fellowship in endocrinology at the University of Pennsylvania.  She joined the Einstein faculty in July of 2007.  Dr. Blocher has a special interest in the areas of pituitary, thyroid, and adrenal disorders.

  • Jane V. Mayrin, MD

  • Dr. Mayrin received her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, where she also completed her internship. She completed her residency training at Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Mayrin completed a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Brown Medical School.  She joined the faculty at Einstein in 2008.  Dr. Mayrin has a special interest in thyroid disease, including thyroid cancer and the management of the pregnant thyroid patient.
