    What are the application requirements?

Einstein Medical Center’s Internal Medicine Residency Program participates in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Complete applications require a dean’s letter and transcript, National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) transcript and three letters of recommendation. The application deadline is January 2. What is the criterion for application to the Categorical Internal Medicine Residency Program?

Our program reviews all applications received through ERAS. US clinical experience is not required. We do not have a cut off for year of graduation and a minimum score for USMLE or COMLEX however we give stronger preference to those applicants who have passed all steps upon first attempt.

Do you sponsor any visas for this program?

Candidates that desire H1B visa sponsorship should express that desire at the time of program interview. Only graduate medical training program candidates with USMLE or COMLEX Step 3 results posted to the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) prior to February 1 will be eligible for consideration of H1B visa sponsorship. Einstein will indicate to candidates in writing Einstein’s desire to sponsor an H1B visa.

An ECFMG certificate is required for at the time that the rank order list is submitted but is not required to be considered for interview.
