  • Dr. Bloom completed his medical residency at the Hospital of the Medical College of Pennsylvania and nephrology fellowship at Temple University Hospitl.  He has published many abstracts in multiple areas of clinical nephrology and is active in fellowship education at Einstein.  Dr. Bloom is medical director at Fresenius Medical Care Northeast Philadelphia Dialysis Center.  He is Co-Chair of the Med Use Committee at Einstein and a member of the Graduate Education Committee.

  • Dr. Chewaproug is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.  She completed her internal medicine residency training and fellowship in nephrology at Albert Einstein.  Dr. Chewaproug, who is board certified in internal medicine, joined the faculty in 2008.

  • Dr. Dissanayake is a graduate of the Einstein Internal Medical Residency Program. Dr. Dissanayake has had extensive research experience and completed training in the ABIM Clinical Investigator Pathway. She has published numerous abstracts and articles in the area of bone mineralization and metabolism. Dr. Dissanayake recently finished her fellowship in nephrology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She is board certified in nephrology and internal medicine.

  • Dr. Gaughan is a graduate of Hahnemann Medical College.  He completed his internal medicine residency program at Abington Memorial hospital.  Dr. Gaughan completed his neprhology fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.  He is certified in both internal medicine and nephrology.  Dr. Gaughan’s areas of interest include diabetes, hypertension.  Dr. Gaughan joined the faculty in 2005.

  • Dr. Goldstein is a graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Goldstein completed his internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship at Hahnemann University Hospital. He is the recipient of a 1998 Faculty Council Teaching Award.

  • Shiang-Cheng Kung, MD

  • Dr. Kung is a graduate of University of Witwatersrand Medical School in South Africa.  He completed his internal medicine residency program at Einstein Medical Center where he also completed his Nephrology Fellowship.  Dr. Kung is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology.  He is a member of the American College of Physicians and American Society of Nephrology.  Dr. Kung joined the Einstein faculty in 2004.

  • Dr. Raja is the author of over 100 scientific articles and 200 abstracts. Dr. Raja is a member of the Research Committee of the Kidney Foundation of Southeastern Pennsylvania and principal investigator for two trials of Epogen in hemodialysis patients. He completed his internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship at Einstein Medical Center.
