Obstetrics/Gynecology - How to Apply
What are the application requirements?
All applications for our program are accepted through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service) hosted by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). ERAS may be accessed via the dean's office of your U.S. medical school, or at http://www.aamc.org/audienceeras.htm.
For international medical graduates (IMG's), you may access ERAS via the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) at http://www.ecfmg.org.
For Osteopathic Students, we do participate in the National Matching Service. We welcome applications from DO students at AOA schools. If you go through the NMS (http://www.natmatch.com/aoairp/) you are eligible for the “track” program for Ob/Gyn, and your internship year will be concurrent with your Traditional Rotating Internship requirement. You also may elect to just go through ERAS. We suggest that you research your options with your school’s Graduate Medical Education office.
There are currently four (4) PGY1 positions for the upcoming Match.
The deadline for applications is the 15th of December.
We accept IMG's into our program, and sponsor H-1 and J-1 visas.
If you are on a visa, Step 3 results must be available by the end of January of the Match year.
All fees related to visas are the responsibility of the applicant (including the anti-fraud fee).
ECFMG certificatn must be approved by the end of January of the Match year.
USMLE Steps 1, 2, and 3 results must be available by the end of January of the Match year.
All required exams must have a PASSING score, but no minimum score is required for application.
CSA results will be considered as they become available.
Prior US clinical experience is not essential.
There is no requirement on the time from medical school graduation to application.
Applications are accepted only through ERAS. For AOA applicants, we participate in the NMS.
ERAS regulations do not permit pre-match.
We do not offer observerships, externships, or research rotations.
Interviews are held in October - January.
Second look visits are arranged only for applicants who have already been interviewed by the program.
