    Pediatrics - Program Info

At Einstein Medical Center, we are dedicated to two primary goals in our Pediatrics Department: serving our local, mostly underserved, community in North Philadelphia and training competent, successful pediatric residents. We offer a unique experience in the city of Philadelphia by combining strong primary care training in a community-based setting with inpatient experiences at a tertiary care children’s hospital.

Our residency program is medium-sized, with the following components:

    • 36 total categorical pediatric residents
    • Highly skilled, congenial faculty consisting of both general pediatricians and subspecialists
    • Broad range of clinical settings including community hospital, tertiary care children’s hospital and community outreach rotations
    • Academic affiliation with Jefferson Medical College where all faculty members have academic appointments
    • 3rd and 4th year medical students from Jefferson Medical College rotating in clinic and inpatient unit

Dedicated, experienced faculty members make a well-rounded pediatric training experience their top priority and are proud to continually place graduates in top fellowship programs and general pediatrics positions.
