  • Pediatrics - How to Apply

    What are the application requirements?

Einstein Medical Center's Pediatrics Residency Program participates in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Complete applications require a dean's letter and transcript, National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) transcript, USMLE or COMLEX scores and three letters of recommendation. The application deadline is November 30th. We will only accept applications through ERAS and have openings for 12 categorical pediatric residents per year.

For Osteopathic Students, we do participate in the National Matching Service. You may apply through the NMS and indicate your interest in Pediatrics or you may apply through ERAS. Please discuss your options with your Medical School to see which option best fits your needs.

Selected applicants are invited to visit Einstein Medical Center for a personal interview. Early submission of ERAS applications is strongly encouraged. We offer interview dates in November, December and January.

Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia's Pediatrics Department sponsors J1 visas for eligible candidates.  We are no longer able to sponsor H1B visas.

We do NOT offer observerships or externships due to the large amount of medical school students and residents that we train.
