Insulin and Diabetes

Insulin is a hormone made by your pancreas that, among other jobs, lets you turn the food you eat into energy. Diabetes occurs when your pancreas either doesn't make enough insulin (type 1 diabetes) or your body can't use the insulin correctly (type 2 diabetes).
