Faculty
The commitment demonstrated by the 20 full-time, board-certified attending physicians is unsurpassed. In addition to their
dedication to educating residents, faculty serve as committee members, speakers, and leaders in societies such as the American
College of Emergency Physicians (
ACEP) – including past Pennsylvania Chapter President – Society of Academic Emergency Medicine (
SAEM), American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians (
ACOEP), Pennsylvania Chapter of the American College of Emergency Medicine (
PaACEP).
All of the attendings hold academic faculty positions at the affiliated colleges. Through lectures and clinical training,
residents develop a practice style shaped by the faculty's expertise in airway management, pediatric emergency medicine and
trauma resuscitations. Faculty members become mentors of small resident groups, and senior residents assist in being mentors
for their fellow junior residents, promoting camaraderie.
