care for adult, children and adolescents who have psychiatric emergencies that interfere with their usual level of daily functioning.
The Einstein CRC at Germantown is one of five centers designated by the City of Philadelphia to provide ready access to crisis
evaluation and treatment for adults and the only CRC in the city that provides these services for children and adolescents.
The CRC evaluates emotional problems including, but not limited to:
- Homicidal or suicidal behavior
- Patients brought in with completed 302 petitions
- Delusional behavior/psychosis
- Anxiety and depression
- Assistance with 302/involuntary commitment petitions
- Alcohol/drug dependence
- Homelessness
No One is Ever Turned Away
CRC services are available to all patients, regardless of health insurance coverage or ability to pay. Like a medical emergency
center, patients are seen on a walk-in basis and no appointment is needed. A no-closure policy keeps CRC services available
to all patients at all times.
