MossRehab Today
Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, MossRehab experienced an incredible amount of change and growth.
- In 1984, MossRehab established the
Drucker Brain Injury Center, the first specialized program for brain injury in Philadelphia.
- In 1994, MossRehab became a member of Albert Einstein Healthcare Network.
- In 1997, MossRehab was designated by the National Institute on Disability Rehabilitation Research to establish a
Model System of Care for traumatic brain injury – the only center of its kind in the Philadelphia region and only one of five in the United States.
- In 1998, through its membership with Albert Einstein Healthcare Network, MossRehab became associated with the Jefferson Health
System.
- MossRehab has also been nationally recognized many times by
U.S.News & World Report's"America's Best Hospitals."
Through the MossCare Network, a growing network of affiliates, MossRehab now offers more than 20 outpatient sites throughout
the Philadelphia region. MossRehab operates an inpatient unit at Frankford Hospital–Frankford Campus in Philadelphia, and
a similar unit at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, PA. Recently, MossRehab also partnered with Magee Rehabilitation Hospital
to provide an outpatient center at Jefferson HealthCARE in Voorhees, NJ. In addition, MossRehab is a member of Philadelphia
International Medicine, a consortium of Philadelphia healthcare providers aimed at bringing patients from foreign countries
to Philadelphia for medical care.
As in the past, MossRehab will continue to evolve in order to provide the highest quality of care for people with physical
disabilities.
