Discover health topics, a handy word search, and New York-area healthcare providers with the help of NOAH. Four New York City library organizations teamed-up to make NOAH possible. Their goal was to create a Web site that would provide healthcare information that’s easily accessible and understandable by everyday people – like you and me. The site’s information is available in English and Spanish.

This site is sponsored by Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and is maintained by the staff of its Robert W. Woodruff Health Sciences Center Library. In each of these areas, information and links are organized as an alphabetical index of topics, so it’s easy to find what you’re looking for.

The one thing this site provides that some others don’t is access to health-related pictures which can be very useful and interesting.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is the leading government agency dedicated to protecting the health of safety of the American people. As part of its job, the CDC provides trustworthy information. Visit the CDC Web site to learn about key health and safety topics (such as birth defects, disabilities, and staying healthy when traveling) as well as topics that are timely (like flu season and back to school).
