Einstein has made special arrangements to offer our out-of-town transplant patients and their families accommodations.
Gift of Life Family House provides temporary lodging and supportive services for families whose loved ones are undergoing transplant treatment.
Family House guests receive home-cooked meals every night at 6 p.m., shuttle service to and from transplant appointments, and access to caring staff, volunteers, and other transplant families going through similar situations.
Einstein also partners with York North, a luxury apartment complex conveniently located on the main hospital campus, to provide accommodations.
There are four units available at York North, offering affordable housing for transplant patients, as well as their caregivers, who need local accommodations when coming in for pre-transplant, post-transplant and follow-up appointments and procedures.
