Gastroenterology Fellowship

The Gastroenterology Fellowship at Albert Einstein Medical Center is a three-year ACGME accredited program accepting three fellows per year. The Divisions of Gastroenterology and Hepatology currently have nine full-time faculty members. In addition to the full time faculty, there are many voluntary faculty members who practice and refer to Einstein and are actively involved in the fellowship program. Fellows will gain extensive experience in all aspects of gastroenterology including GI consultation, ambulatory gastroenterology and hepatology and all aspects of GI endoscopy.

A state-of-the-art esophageal laboratory offers the opportunity for participation in research in both gastroenterology and hepatology in a fully equipped, state-of-the-art endoscopy suite and training facility with colonoscopy and ERCP simulation equipment available.

The Hepatology Division and the Center for Liver Disease operates a UNOS approved liver transplant program, one of the largest in the Delaware Valley. Flexible scheduling opportunities allow those interested to devote up to a full year in the research arena.
