Oncology
Residents from each firm rotate on the oncology service and gain valuable experience in the care of patients with chronic
and life-threatening illnesses. Daily teaching and management rounds emphasize collaborative care. Full-time faculty in the
Albert Einstein Cancer Center share their expertise in pain management, chemotherapy protocols and interdisciplinary approaches
to patient care.
Emergency Medicine
Einstein Medical Center's Department of Emergency Medicine treats more than 70,000 patients annually, making it one of the
busiest emergency departments in Philadelphia. PGY-1 medical residents have contact with a wide variety of patients, ensuring
a broad range of experience. The PGY-3 admitting resident evaluates patients referred for admission and works with the nurse
facilitator to assign patients to the appropriate firms.
Telemetry
Residents rotating on the telemetry service will gain a strong foundation in the care of patients with a multitude of different
cardiac and other medical illnesses. This rotation gives residents the opportunity to interact with a variety of health-care
professionals to provide high quality care. The goal of this rotation is to help the medical resident develop the knowledge
base, interactive skills, technical skills, and learning attitudes to provide high-level care to adult patients with the most
common forms of heart disease.

Neurology
Residents rotating on the neurology service will develop competence in the care of patients with a variety of neurologic disorders.
Residents work directly with our staff of board certified neurologists managing patients with acute stroke, neuromuscular
disorders and many other conditions.
