Michael Lippmann, MD.
Head of the Division of Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Lippmann graduated from SUNY-Buffalo School of Medicine in 1970 and completed his pulmonary fellowship training at Bronx
Municipal Hospital/Albert Einstein Medical College in New York. He completed his internal medicine training at the Yale-New
Haven Hospital. Dr. Lippmann also spent two years in occupational pulmonary medicine in Morgantown, West Virginia. He is a
Professor of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College and has authored over 55 peer-reviewed articles and five book chapters.
Dr. Lippmann has been a member of the Einstein medical staff for over 27 years.

Steven Goldberg, MD
Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit
Dr. Goldberg received his medical education at Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine
residency and pulmonary fellowship at Harlem Hospital and Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York where he received
NIH Pulmonary Academic Award.. Dr. Goldberg is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College and is the
author of over 20 peer-reviewed articles. He has been a member of the staff at Einstein for over 25 years.

Michael Walkenstein, MD
Dr. Walkenstein received his medical education at Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine
residency at Medical College of Virginia and his pulmonary fellowship at the University of Rochester. Dr. Walkenstein is an
Associate Professor of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College and author of 12 peer-reviewed articles. He has been a member
of the Einstein staff for 23 years.

Glenn Eiger, MD
Dr. Eiger is a graduate of SUNY-Buffalo School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine and chief residency at Beth
Israel Medical Center in New York and his three-year pulmonary/ critical care fellowship at the Hospital of the University
of Pennsylvania. Dr. Eiger has been a member of the Division of Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine at Einstein since
1994. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College, Associate Chairman of the Department of Medicine
and Program Director of the Internal Medicine and Transitional Year Residencies. Dr. Eiger is the author of over 50 peer-reviewed
abstracts and articles.

Ganesan Murali, MD Director, Sleep Center
Dr. Murali is a graduate of Madras Medical College in India. Dr. Murali completed internal medicine training at Graduate Hospital
in Philadelphia. He completed his Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at Albert Einstein Medical Center. He is board certified
in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, critical care medicine, and sleep medicine. Dr. Murali is also a member of the Royal
College of Physicians of Ireland. He received the Schatz Award for Outstanding Clinical Performance in 2002 and the Chief
Residents' Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching in 2006.

- Arshad A. Wani, MD
- Director, Pulmonary Function Lab
Dr. Wani received his medical degree from Government Medical College, Srinagar, India and underwent internship and
internal medicine residency at UPMC, McKeesport, University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Wani completed a pulmonary/critical
care fellowship at Albert Einstein Medical Center and is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary disease.
He has a special interest in Asthma and Interstitial Lung Disease.
